Amnesty International accuses the Rapid Support Forces of using French military technology in the war.

Amnesty International has accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia of using French military technology in the Sudanese civil war, violating the UN arms embargo.

The organization claims that French-made vehicles are being used by the militia against the Sudanese army in the Darfur region.

The organization has urged the French government to stop supplying the Galix defense system to the UAE, as it could be used to commit or facilitate serious human rights violations.

The UN first imposed an arms embargo on Darfur in 2004, following allegations of ethnic cleansing. Amnesty International has called for the embargo to be extended to Sudan and for monitoring mechanisms to be strengthened.
