Juba – Al-Naeim Mubarak Kuol

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) continues to support efforts to reform the security sector by providing assistance to the National Prison Service of South Sudan (NPSSS) in updating its official standing orders.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen prison management and ensure that inmates are held in humane conditions during their sentences. The move reflects the UN’s ongoing commitment to promoting human rights and enhancing institutional capacity within South Sudan’s correctional system.
