
The Chinese government has officially handed over a modern cultural and language center to the University of Juba, enhancing educational opportunities in South Sudan. This new facility, an E-classroom designed for 40 students, aims to promote the Chinese language, arts, and culture. During the handover ceremony, Chinese Ambassador MA Qiang expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its potential to strengthen cultural ties between China and South Sudan.
Ambassador MA praised the University of Juba as a leading institution in the country, recognizing its significant role in education and development. He emphasized the importance of nurturing talent and knowledge, reflecting on a Chinese saying about the value of investing in people. His remarks underscored the collaborative spirit of the initiative, which aims to foster mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
Professor Robert Mayom Deng, Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba, expressed gratitude for the generous donation, noting that the university had not solicited the gift. He encouraged students to utilize the new facility, which boasts advanced features such as solar-powered lighting and an interactive display. Professor Mayom highlighted the exceptional quality of the center, urging students to take full advantage of this unique opportunity to enhance their educational experience.
