Graduation of Youth Who Received Vocational and Technical Training in Rumbek

At least 513 women and young people have completed a three-month Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program led by the “Across South Sudan” organization in Lakes State.
The trainees acquired skills in various professional fields at the TVET center in Rumbek, the state capital. Young people received training in areas such as tailoring, veterinary care, construction, masonry, hair styling, and hospitality services through a technical course sponsored by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
According to Mark Makur Mathen Tuon: “I received training in construction at the TVET center in Rumbek, Lakes State, which was developed by UNESCO in collaboration with the organization. We are ready to graduate today and will apply the skills we have been provided with, as we have acquired essential talents that will help us in our daily lives.”
