President Salva Kiir Mayardit received yesterday at the Presidential Palace in Juba a comprehensive briefing on the overall situation in Upper Nile State.
The deputy governor Deng Joh Angok highlighted the main issues such as security challenges and political stability, in addition to the great efforts made by the state government to mend the social fabric and promote peaceful coexistence between the various components of the state.

He also emphasized the commitment of the state government to ensure peace and stability and face all the difficulties facing the state. The deputy governor of Upper Nile State indicated that they are putting the directives of the President of the Republic to enhance food security in the country and the success of the agricultural season as a priority.
For his part, the President of the Republic praised the great efforts made by the government of Upper Nile State to promote unity among citizens and improve the living conditions of the people of Upper Nile.
