South Sudan is witnessing a high rate of unemployment among youth, which is a serious obstacle in forming a stable social life for them to alleviate the pressure and suffering of job hunting
The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) organized a training workshop for 283 young men and women in Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile State, to enlighten them on the skills they can rely on for employment
The workshop included skills such as carpentry, masonry and painting to put them on the path to greater self-reliance.

Yoana Yor, 19 Years, said that unemployment in the state is a serious obstacle for them and now they can start a small business to support their families.
Sarah James, head of the youth organization at the CPC, highlighted the need for resilience among young people in South Sudan James emphasized that when participants uplift their own lives, they uplift others, creating a foundation for lasting peace in the country
