John Alier signs contract with Al Hilal Wau

Coach John Alier has signed a contract with Al Hilal Wau to coach the team that is currently participating in the South Sudan Premier League.


The former Jamus FC coach is likely to lead Wau’s local first division champions in their match this afternoon against Ketur FC, in the third round of the competition.


According to the agreement between the two parties, the contract is for a period of six months. Until the end of the first half of the Premier League season.


The coach was recently selected as part of the coaching staff of the South Sudan U-17 national team that participated in the East and Central African Confederation (CECAFA) qualifiers for the U-17 African Nations Championship, which was held in the Ugandan capital Kampala in December last year.


Al Hilal Wau have only one point after drawing with Al Salam Aweil in the second round of the Premier League. The team has a postponed match against Nile City Yambio in the first round of the competition.
