The Governor of Warrap State, General Francis Marial Abur, began a tour to inspect the counties, accompanied by senior officials from the state government, security and military leaders, police, social leaders, and traditional authorities. He was received by a large crowd of citizens from Wun
Governor Abur visited public facilities in the Wunrok Payam area of Twic County and assessed the security and peace situation in the region.
Governor Francis will head to the Turalei area, the county headquarters, where he will address the public and convey the directives of the President and the policies of the Transitional National Government. He will also brief the people on the importance of maintaining peace and security and strengthening social relations between local communities and neighboring ones.
During his tour, Governor Francis removed the checkpoints in Waralal and Wunrok in implementation of the decision from the 8th Governors’ Forum held in Juba at the end of last year. His Excellency Governor Marial ordered all the forces stationed at those checkpoints to return to their respective units.
Large trucks carrying fuel and food supplies arrived at the city’s entrance, and the move was met with great satisfaction among the citizens.
