The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Monday Semaya Kumba, held a Zoom meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Shirin Haskel.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between South Sudan and the State of Israel and developing strategic, well-studied, and practical plans that support progress in various fields.

The two sides exchanged views on numerous issues of mutual interest and understanding, including political cooperation, economic collaboration, agriculture, trade and investment, counter-terrorism, humanitarian aid, global financing, constructive and balanced engagement with traditional partners, healthcare, lifting the arms embargo and targeted individual sanctions, bilateral and technical visits, as well as support within the frameworks and activities of the African Union and IGAD, among others.
They emphasized the importance of preserving the historical relationship between the two countries and reaffirmed their strong commitment to continuing their joint efforts to deepen existing relations in service of the interests of both countries in international forums.
