The event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing development of the country\u2019s civil aviation sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony was attended by the <strong>Director General of SSCAA, Eng. John Woja Elinana<\/strong>, along with several senior officials, including <strong>Mr. Daffalla Habib Awongo<\/strong>, Director of Corporate Services; <strong>Mr. Lemi Peter Abdallah<\/strong>, Director of Air Navigation Services; and <strong>Mr. Bol Ring<\/strong>, Acting Manager of Air Traffic Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his remarks, the Director General emphasized that the induction of this new cohort reflects the Authority\u2019s firm commitment to <strong>training and empowering national professionals capable of managing modern air navigation systems<\/strong>, thereby ensuring enhanced <strong>safety and efficiency<\/strong> in South Sudan\u2019s airspace operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This celebration follows the <strong>official graduation of 12 Air Traffic Controllers<\/strong>\u2014including <strong>four pioneering women<\/strong>\u2014on <strong>October 31, 2025<\/strong>, after completing an intensive <strong>nine-month professional training program<\/strong> at the <strong>East African School of Aviation (EASA)<\/strong> in <strong>Nairobi, Kenya<\/strong>. The training covered <strong>Approach Control, Aerodrome Control, and <\/strong>area control, in full compliance with <strong>International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)<\/strong> standards and national training requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SSCAA affirmed that the inclusion of these newly qualified professionals into its operational workforce represents a <strong>significant boost to the country\u2019s civil aviation services<\/strong>, supporting ongoing efforts to <strong>enhance airspace safety<\/strong> and <strong>expand air navigation capabilities<\/strong> in line with the rapid growth of South Sudan\u2019s aviation sector.
