The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Republic of South Sudan, through the Commissioners Selection Panel, has announced the opening of applications for four Commissioner positions in the Commission for Truth, Reconciliation, and Healing (CTRH), specifying that at least two of the four commissioners must be women.
This announcement comes in implementation of Article (10) of the Commission for Truth, Reconciliation, and Healing Act, 2024, which provides for the establishment of an independent selection panel to appoint commissioners based on competence and integrity.
According to the statement issued by the Selection Panel, applicants must meet a set of key requirements, including:
Must not have been convicted of any criminal offense or corruption.
Must not have violated human rights or committed conflict-related sexual violence.
Must have a reputable professional record and enjoy public trust and respect.
Must possess high moral character, impartiality, and integrity.
Must not be an active member of any political party or military organization.
Must be a qualified professional in their field of expertise.
The panel invited qualified and interested South Sudanese citizens to submit their applications and a motivation letter, accompanied by a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), addressed to the Selection Panel for the CTRH, through one of the following methods:

The panel set November 14, 2025, as the deadline for receiving applications, emphasizing that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
