The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)<\/strong>, in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of South Sudan<\/strong>, held a meeting of the Project Steering Committee for the \u201cJob Creation through Youth and Women-led Micro and Small Enterprises (JMSE)\u201d Project<\/strong> to review progress made in implementing project activities to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to enhance employment opportunities for youth and women<\/strong> by developing the private sector<\/strong> and improving the business environment for micro and small enterprises (MSEs)<\/strong> through capacity building, skills development, and business support<\/strong>, as well as strengthening coordination between entrepreneurs and the private sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants emphasized the project\u2019s importance in promoting sustainable economic development<\/strong> and empowering productive groups to actively contribute to the national economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative is generously supported by the African Development Bank Group<\/strong>, as part of joint efforts to achieve inclusive economic growth<\/strong> and strengthen the resilience and innovation capacity of youth and women in South Sudan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
