The governments of Jonglei and Central Equatoria States concluded in Juba a week-long Governance Exchange Initiative<\/em>, marking an important step toward strengthening inter-state cooperation and enhancing administrative leadership within local governance institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative was hosted by Gen. Rabi Mjong Emmanuel<\/strong>, Governor of Central Equatoria State, at the invitation of Dr. Riek Gai Kok<\/strong>, Governor of Jonglei State. It brought together a high-level delegation from Jonglei\u2019s government, which participated in an intensive training program focused on best practices in public administration and state management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program included specialized sessions on decision-making mechanisms within the Council of Ministers, governance systems based on sectoral clusters, protocol and public administration management, as well as the preparation and presentation of cabinet proposals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his closing remarks, Governor Mjong reaffirmed Central Equatoria\u2019s commitment to strengthening inter-state partnerships, promoting transparency and accountability, and improving public services. He praised the spirit of cooperation and openness demonstrated by the Jonglei delegation throughout the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Deputy Governor Folino Lokudo Obede<\/strong>, the program\u2019s general supervisor, expressed confidence that the visiting delegation would apply the knowledge gained to improve governance and administrative systems in Jonglei State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister Lobai Simon Andrew<\/strong>, Minister of Cabinet Affairs in Central Equatoria, described the initiative as a \u201cstrategic study tour\u201d that reflects the depth of relations and cooperation between the two states, noting that it falls within efforts to strengthen governmental ties and national unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Minister Kony Yen Nyuon<\/strong>, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and head of Jonglei\u2019s delegation, extended appreciation for the warm reception accorded to his team, affirming his government\u2019s commitment to implementing the experiences and lessons learned to enhance administrative performance and public service delivery in Jonglei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closing ceremony was attended by several senior officials, including Minister Wal Makoi<\/strong>, Commissioner of the Revenue Authority, and Rambang Tut Deng<\/strong>, Director General of Cabinet Affairs in Jonglei, along with other government leaders from both states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
