The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Monday Semaya Kumba, met today, Monday, with Mr. John Waja Elinana, Director General of the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, at the Ministry\u2019s headquarters in Juba.
The meeting focused on key outcomes of the 42nd General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which recently concluded in Montreal, Canada. The two officials discussed ways to benefit from the assembly\u2019s recommendations to strengthen South Sudan\u2019s civil aviation sector.
They also explored prospects for South Sudan\u2019s participation in international aviation forums, as well as the country\u2019s growing role in regional airspace management\u2014an important step toward enhancing cooperation and integration among countries in the region in this vital sector.
The meeting comes as part of the Ministry\u2019s ongoing efforts to coordinate national positions on issues related to international relations and technical cooperation with specialized organizations.
