{"id":5785,"date":"2025-09-29T17:31:28","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T15:31:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/?p=5785"},"modified":"2025-09-29T17:31:31","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T15:31:31","slug":"mobile-court-inaugurated-in-unity-state-amid-widespread-public-welcome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/?p=5785","title":{"rendered":"Mobile Court Inaugurated in Unity State Amid Widespread Public Welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Bentiu \u2013 Al-Wadi Newspaper<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Government of Unity State, under the leadership of Governor <strong>Riek Bim Top<\/strong>, officially inaugurated the <strong>Mobile Court<\/strong> in <strong>Bentiu<\/strong>, in a landmark move aimed at strengthening the rule of law and improving access to justice after more than eleven years of the state\u2019s High Court being non-functional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening ceremony witnessed a massive turnout, with thousands of citizens from across the state gathering to welcome the initiative \u2014 a clear reflection of the public\u2019s eagerness to see the formal justice system restored and legal institutions reactivated to protect citizens&#8217; rights and ensure fair trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the event, the state\u2019s Paramount Chief, <strong>Sultan Gatluak Chie<\/strong>, expressed his great satisfaction with the initiative, saying:<br><em>&#8220;We were often forced to handle cases beyond our traditional jurisdiction due to the absence of formal courts. Today, my fellow chiefs and I are delighted to witness the return of justice to our state through this mobile court.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, <strong>Maj. Gen. Gathon Giewal<\/strong>, Unity State Police Commissioner, affirmed the police\u2019s full commitment to working closely with the judiciary and international partners to ensure justice is served.
