The tournament is being hosted in the Angolan capital Luanda and the city of Mo\u00e7\u00e2medes, in its 31st edition, taking place from August 12 to 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our national team had previously lost its opening game against Guinea 80\u201388, before bouncing back with a big win over Libya 115\u201352. Both teams suffered from the absence of key players such as Jones, Maluach, and Chayok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/532942993_18084425551893095_8575315319788046533_n-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/532942993_18084425551893095_8575315319788046533_n-1.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/532942993_18084425551893095_8575315319788046533_n-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/532942993_18084425551893095_8575315319788046533_n-1-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bright Stars will now face Senegal in the playoff round, hoping to secure a win and reach the quarterfinals.
