The organization warned that continued delays pose a threat to the implementation of the peace agreement and undermine public confidence in national leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a press statement issued on Saturday and received by <em>Dawn English Newspaper<\/em>, <strong>Gatwech Manyang<\/strong>, Executive Director of the CPA, expressed deep concern over the Cabinet\u2019s prolonged inactivity, especially amid the current political, economic, and humanitarian challenges facing the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;The Center for Peace and Advocacy is deeply concerned about the extended delay in convening Cabinet meetings, at a time when the nation urgently needs effective leadership and serious dialogue to confront the critical challenges facing the people of South Sudan,&#8221;<\/em> said Manyang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He urged the government to <strong>urgently resume official Cabinet sessions<\/strong>, stressing the importance of discussing urgent national issues, most notably the <strong>implementation of the 2018 Revitalized Peace Agreement (R-ARCSS)<\/strong>, along with matters related to governance, security, and basic public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prominent activist also warned that further delay in resuming Cabinet meetings risks <strong>derailing the peace process<\/strong> and projecting a negative image of the government\u2019s commitment to national unity and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;The country is at a critical crossroads, and national leaders must take responsibility and act decisively,&#8221;<\/em> he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manyang concluded by reaffirming the CPA\u2019s commitment to promoting <strong>dialogue, peace, and accountability<\/strong>, urging all political and community stakeholders to engage in <strong>constructive dialogue that leads to genuine stability and inclusive development<\/strong> for the people of South Sudan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Juba \u2013 Al-Wadi Newspaper The Center for Peace and Advocacy (CPA) has called on South Sudan&#8217;s transitional government to urgently convene a Cabinet meeting, following months of institutional stagnation.
