He described the UK\u2019s partnership as a cornerstone in the country\u2019s path toward national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vice President reaffirmed the Government of South Sudan\u2019s full commitment to implementing the <strong>Revitalized Peace Agreement<\/strong>, with particular emphasis on <strong>Chapter II concerning security arrangements<\/strong>, which he described as fundamental to ensuring lasting peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He called on the international community to support <strong>practical steps<\/strong> toward the integration of opposition forces into a unified national army, viewing it as a key measure to prevent renewed violence and to pave the way for a stable democratic transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn appreciating the international community\u2019s push for political dialogue, we also stress the importance of taking concrete actions\u2014such as accelerating military integration\u2014as the most effective way to build a unified army and achieve long-term stability,\u201d the Vice President stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement from the <strong>Press Unit of the Office of the Vice President \u2013 Infrastructure Cluster<\/strong>, Ambassador Ashley reaffirmed the UK\u2019s ongoing commitment to supporting essential aid programs in South Sudan.
