The clashes, which lasted throughout the day, have raised concerns of renewed violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong>Radio Tamazuj<\/strong>, <strong>Police Sergeant Deng Madut<\/strong> confirmed that fighting had ceased by Sunday, but expressed concern over the possibility of <strong>retaliatory attacks<\/strong>. He also noted that the wounded are currently receiving treatment at various local healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Madut elaborated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe attacks were launched by armed youth from the Thiek section of Malual-Choum against armed youth from Akok in Ngap-Agok Payam. The clashes resulted in two deaths and nine injuries on the attackers&#8217; side, while two were killed and seven injured from Ngap-Agok, bringing the total casualties to <strong>four dead and 16 injured<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Moses Madut<\/strong>, Member of Parliament representing <strong>Constituency 16<\/strong> of Eastern Tonj County, confirmed the incident and announced the <strong>launch of an investigation<\/strong> into the circumstances surrounding the violence.
