Al-Mudiriya Defeats Al-Ittihad"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Juba: Al-Wadi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last Saturday, the matches of the South Sudan National League, which qualifies for South Sudan Premier League, kicked off in Aweil, the capital of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening match of Group One featured a face-off between Al-Mudiriya, the champions of Aweil, and Al-Ittihad, the champions of Kuajok, held in the afternoon at Freedom Square. Al-Ittihad\u2019s sole goal was scored by Walid Bol in the 50th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, Al-Mudiriya tops Group One with 3 points, while Al-Ittihad remains without any points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zalan Claims Victory Over Al-Nujum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zalan of Rumbek was awarded a victory over his rival Al-Nujum of Raja after the latter announced its withdrawal from the tournament due to financial reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"702\" height=\"721\" src=\"https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/498177053_1296166799175637_749343133680021382_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4999\" srcset=\"https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/498177053_1296166799175637_749343133680021382_n.jpg 702w, https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/498177053_1296166799175637_749343133680021382_n-292x300.jpg 292w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 702px) 100vw, 702px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Rumbek&#8217;s team was deemed the winner by a score of 2\u20130, raising their tally to 3 points, placing them behind the group leader Al-Mudiriya only by goal difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Group One of the National League includes six teams: Al-Mudiriya (Aweil), Al-Ittihad (Kuajok), Al-Nujum (Raja), Zalan (Rumbek), Al-Ghazala (Wau), and Mading Achueng (Abyei). These clubs are the champions of the local leagues under the umbrella of the South Sudan Football Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Champions from Malakal, Nasir, and Bentiu associations are absent from this edition of the qualifiers for the Premier League. All matches are being held at Freedom Square in Aweil. The top team from each group will directly qualify for the next Premier League season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today, Al-Ghazala (Wau) will face Mading Achueng (Abyei) in the final match of the first round for Group One, to be played in the afternoon at Freedom Square in Aweil.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Group Two\u2026 Atlabara Overcomes Volcano<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atlabara of Juba overcame the challenge posed by Al-Volcano of Torit with a 3\u20131 victory in the opening match of Group Two, held at Buluk Playground in Juba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"594\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/497333223_1115708193924863_7323419566207938155_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/497333223_1115708193924863_7323419566207938155_n.jpg 594w, https:\/\/derawetmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/497333223_1115708193924863_7323419566207938155_n-300x242.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 594px) 100vw, 594px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Juba&#8217;s champions scored through Kenty Anthony (two goals in the 20th and 40th minutes) and Kiir Mangar (71st minute).
