The National Executive Committee of the South Sudan Red Cross today held its third meeting of 2026, chaired by the President of the National Society, Joseph Dhuor, and attended by members of the Executive Committee and the Secretariat.
The meeting, led by Secretary-General John Lobor, reviewed the Society’s ongoing work and progress in implementing its programmes and activities, as well as challenges and gaps that require further attention.
Discussions focused on identifying priorities aimed at strengthening the performance of the National Society and advancing its work over the coming months, with the goal of enhancing its capacity to respond to humanitarian needs and serve affected communities.
The session also provided an opportunity for members of the Executive Committee and the Secretariat to reflect on previous experiences and draw lessons from them, with a view to translating those lessons into practical decisions and actions that support the Society’s work and guide its direction in the next phase.
The meeting underscored the importance of continued joint efforts and stronger coordination between the Society’s leadership and Secretariat to ensure the implementation of priorities and advance the objectives of the South Sudan Red Cross.
