The Ministry of Higher Education and Science and Technology has announced the availability of 15 fully funded scholarships from the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria for the 2026/2027 academic year.
According to Announcement No. 3, issued on August 25, 2026, the scholarships are designed to equip South Sudanese students with technical and practical skills that will contribute to national development.
Application Process: Forms are available at the Ministry’s headquarters in Atalabara, opposite Antipas Pharmacy along Nimira Talata–Malakia Road, Juba. Applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of 25,000 SSP to obtain the form.
Eligibility:
- Must be a South Sudanese national with a valid passport (minimum six months validity).
- Hold a valid National Identity Card.
- Provide an age assessment certificate or birth certificate.
Required Documents:
- Authenticated Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
- Valid medical clearance certificate.
- Police Certificate of Good Conduct (issued in August or early September 2026).
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- Completed application form with details of state, county, payam, boma, and preferred field of study.
Deadline: Applications open August 26, 2026 and close on Friday, September 4, 2026. The Ministry has cautioned that incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
