Hope Restoration South Sudan has officially launched a project titled “Strengthening Ebola Preparedness and Building Community Resilience in South Sudan.”
The project aims to raise community awareness, enhance early case detection, strengthen infection prevention and control measures, and improve medical referral systems in communities most at risk of Ebola outbreaks.
It is being implemented by Hope Restoration South Sudan in partnership with CAFOD and Trocaire, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of South Sudan, and with support and funding from the Start Network.
Through this partnership, the implementing organizations aim to equip local communities with life-saving information, strengthen community preparedness for epidemics, and enhance resilience to public health emergencies, particularly in Nimule, Juba, and other cross-border entry points.
The organization emphasized that cooperation among partners is intended to support prevention and early preparedness efforts and protect lives from potential health risks, stressing the importance of joint action to address epidemic threats and improve the readiness of local communities.
