Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets Turkey’s Ambassador in Juba to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

In a move aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between South Sudan and Turkey, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Akuei Bona Malwal, held a meeting with His Excellency Metin Ergin, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to South Sudan.

During the meeting, the Turkish Ambassador extended his warm congratulations to the Deputy Minister on his recent appointment and presented him with a congratulatory letter from Turkey’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, reaffirming the strong ties between the two nations.

The discussions addressed various issues of mutual interest, with both parties exchanging views on ways to enhance bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Several areas for potential collaboration were identified, including agricultural development and facilitating high-level exchanges between the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Ambassador Akuei Bona Malwal emphasized the Government of South Sudan’s commitment to deepening relations with Turkey, appreciating the ongoing cooperation between the two countries across various fields.
