Free Cataract Surgery Begins at Aweil State Hospital

Aweil State Hospital has announced the launch of a free cataract surgery program for patients with vision problems, starting today and running until May 12, 2025.

A total of 1,250 individuals suffering from cataracts will benefit from this initiative and receive treatment at no cost.

Hospital officials are urging all individuals with eye issues to visit Aweil State Hospital in Aweil Town to receive the necessary medical care, highlighting that this initiative provides a valuable opportunity for those in need to access high-quality treatment.

They also emphasized the importance of informing family and friends affected by eye problems about this health initiative and encouraging them to take advantage of this free medical service.
